Your first day on skis
Equipment, ski boots, first steps on skis, snow plough speed control, and getting up after a fall.
A full week on the mountain. Enough time to move from your first day on snow to parallel turns on intermediate slopes — or, if you already ski, to sharpen your technique until it feels natural.
This course is for a committed beginner who wants a full week rather than a quick taster, or someone who has already done a short course, can turn and stop, and wants to progress to parallel turns, carving, and steeper slopes with confidence. The seven-day format gives your instructor time to work on how you ski, not just whether you can ski.
Here is exactly what happens on this course, day by day. Your instructor adjusts the pace to you.
Equipment, ski boots, first steps on skis, snow plough speed control, and getting up after a fall.
Side-stepping, side slipping, stronger snow-plough braking, balance training, and your first ski-lift use.
Long and short turns, duck walk, mid-slope skills, and the first run on intermediate terrain.
Longer continuous bunny-slope runs, stronger turns at higher speed, and preparation for intermediate terrain.
Longer runs with real gradients, confident lift use, and skiing with enough control for independent progression.
Learn how both skis work together instead of using the snow plough. Focus on body position, edge control, and reading the slope ahead.
Refine parallel turns into carving, ski steeper intermediate sections, and build confidence choosing a route down the slope. Course review and certificate.
You receive a course completion certificate at the end of your course.
All ski equipment is provided. You only need to bring:

Here is how the 7-day programme compares to the other options.
Five days to go from your first steps on snow to skiing intermediate slopes on your own. Two extra days beyond the beginner course make the difference between learning the basics and actually skiing.

View courseNo. The course starts from scratch and builds to intermediate technique. If you already have experience, your instructor assesses you on day one and starts where you need to begin.
The 5-day course gets you skiing intermediate slopes. The 7-day course adds parallel turns, carving and the technique that turns skiing from something you can do into something you can do well.
Most students are introduced to parallel turns by day six and can make them consistently by day seven. How clean they are depends on coordination and practice.
Skiing is physical and seven days is a real commitment. Your instructor manages the pace with shorter sessions when needed. Most people find their body adapts after the first few days.
