Your first day on skis
Meet your equipment, walk in ski boots, take your first steps on skis, learn the snow plough position and practise getting up safely after a fall.
Five days to go from your first steps on snow to skiing intermediate slopes on your own. Two extra days beyond the beginner course make the difference between learning the basics and actually skiing.
This course is for beginners who want more than a taster. If three days is enough to find out whether you like skiing, five days is enough to actually become a skier. The extra two days give you time to build real confidence, move from the bunny slopes to intermediate slopes, and use the ski lift independently. It is also right for anyone who tried a short course elsewhere and felt they needed more time before it clicked.
Here is exactly what happens on this course, day by day. Your instructor adjusts the pace to you.
Meet your equipment, walk in ski boots, take your first steps on skis, learn the snow plough position and practise getting up safely after a fall.
Side-stepping, side slipping, stronger snow-plough braking, balance training on gentle gradients, and your first time using the ski lift.
Long turns and short turns, the duck walk, mid-slope skills, and your first run on an intermediate slope.
Longer continuous runs on the bunny slopes, stronger turns at higher speed, and preparation for intermediate terrain. The basics start feeling like things you can do, not just skills you practise.
Full sessions on intermediate slopes with longer runs and real gradients. Build confident lift use and enough control for your instructor to step back and watch. Course review and certificate.
You receive a course completion certificate at the end of your course.

Not sure five days is right? Here are the alternatives.

View courseThe 3-day course teaches the fundamentals on bunny slopes. By day five, the 5-day course takes you to skiing intermediate slopes independently. The two extra days are the difference between learning the basics and actually skiing.
On intermediate slopes, yes. You will be able to use the ski lift, ski down on your own, and control your speed and turns without an instructor walking beside you. Advanced terrain needs more experience.
If you can still balance on skis and make a basic turn, the 5-day course is a better fit. Your instructor assesses you on day one and adjusts the pace. If you have forgotten everything, you can start with three days and extend.

Yes. Each teenager has a private instructor, so the pace is set for them rather than for a group.
